In the past years there is a stunning growth of need for fund management expertise around the world, and in China in particular. Shirat has been involved in Venture Capital since the inception of this industry in Israel, in the early 90's.

Shirat was among the founders of one of the first Israeli VC fund, Mofet Technologies, as well as the founder of Silicon Valley based VC fund – GCP – Global Catalyst Partners. Shirat was also an active member on EVCA – the European Venture Capital Association, among the founders of IVA – Israel VC Association and among the board of founders of EASDAQ – the European NASDAQ.

During the past years, Shirat is active in establishing in China VC funds, based on the Israeli most successful experience, in line with the strong trend in China to develop the VC industry, particularly for oversea investments, so much related to the high-tech entrepreneurial culture.
